Modesto Artists Movement is a community-led nonprofit elevating the artists making this city interesting — across ten disciplines, every weekend, year-round.
We host events, fund grants, run masterclasses, and build the stages local artists deserve. And we're just getting started.

Once a year, eight of Modesto's best poets take the stage at the historic State Theatre to compete for the title of ILL List Champion — and a crowd of 1,000+ shows up to score every round.
It's the loudest poetry night in the Central Valley, and we're proud to host it.
